Last year I wrote two blog posts about my search for a Men's cut blazer to add to my wardrobe-- "Searching for Staples Pt. 1- Blazers" and "I asked... and I answered: Some Research about Blazers! I spoke about some of the issues I had in finding blazers that fit my body type and specifically, how off the rack Men's cut blazers tend to be broad in the shoulders, feature lower armholes--- a cheaper way to cater to a wide variety of arm sizes, and of course, DO not cater to those of us who have bust! While all these issues still exist I was not deterred and this weekend I made due on my promise to get a suit that makes me look as good as I feel inside--- anddd I got it for under $150! Check me out in my new Navy Blue TopMan suit!
Its in my favorite color and I love how versatile it is! I plan to use it for work, events, and theoccasional date night with bae ;)!
In terms of sizing I got my blazer on sale for $70.00 in a 34R! I found that the arms were a little too long for me so I took them to my trusted tailor in NYC and they were able to shorten the arm lengths for $20.00. This small adjustment took my jacket to another level--talk about sleek and refined! I got the matching trousers on clearance for $50.00 and they fit right off the rack in a 34S!
